55 teams. One weekend. Every goal on record.
How WNS took its Pune football championship from a spreadsheet to a live, officially scored knockout tournament in two days using Sportagon EOS.

29 hat-tricks · 3 penalty shoot-outs · 4 turfs in play at once · 1 yellow card across the weekend
The challenge: 55 teams and a spreadsheet
The organizer had to coordinate 383 players across multiple departments, many without phone numbers on file. Fifty-four knockout matches needed to run on four turfs in 40-minute slots, while official results had to remain visible and consistent.
A spreadsheet was the starting point; a live tournament record was the goal.
The solution: one live EOS workflow
- 01
Import
WNS's workbook was imported with departments, 55 squads and 383 player profiles.
- 02
Draw
A 64-slot knockout bracket was prepared from the master schedule; the brochure reports zero fixture mismatches.
- 03
Score live
One referee per turf entered goals, scorers, minutes, cards and penalty shoot-outs on a phone.
- 04
Publish official results
Locked scorecards advanced winners, updated standings and made results visible to participants.
